The Windmills at Mykonos

As we depart from Mykonos we make our way to the ancient harbor of Delos. Delos was once a sacred island and is the legendary birthplace of the Sun god Apollo and his twin sister Artemis. As we walk along the Agora and beyond, we come to the Sacred Way, which leads to the Temple of Apollo. From the Temple of Apollo we walk to The Avenue of the Lions, with its five marble beasts from the 7th century B.C., here we see the House of Cleopatra and the world renowned mosaic floors in the House of the Dolphin.
